QUIET QUESTS (50+ activities : 46 pages)
The ability to think creatively, independently and ‘outside of the box’ is a skill that some are better at than others. Some of us have little difficulty in letting our imagination run riot if asked to brainstorm a problem – and in brainstorming there are no wrong answers.
When they have the confidence to stand back and quietly assess a situation, rather than ‘going with the flow’ to appear popular or because we want to be liked, they are giving themselves space to decide whether what is on offer is necessarily true, or the best, or even worth doing.
When people can think around a problem and find an alternative outcome they are also less likely to feel the need to be in control, but are more likely to want to take an appropriate risk, try different things, volunteer to help, develop new skills and make new friends.
