This package re-introduces the tried-and-true ‘Picture Chat’. Children should realise that there are many ways to collect information, observation is one of them.
Open-ended questions are mixed with ‘one correct answer’ questions to provide opportunities for personal, individual involvements. Children bring their own ‘favourite photos’ or other drawings to hold their own discussions. Take care if ‘Family History’ photos or other objects are to be shared because many are precious to their owners.
The RED level has been designed for children commencing primary school. Adults are required to help with reading messages and to encourage and celebrate children’s responses. For more information about our "Rainbow" approach, click here.
